Brenda Patricia Garza is an award-winning Texas-based filmmaker, director, and producer. Her documentary short Political Agenda received the Best Texas Film award, highlighting her commitment to socially conscious storytelling. With a background in journalism, casting, and production management, Garza brings an empathetic and observant lens to her work. Her latest short, My Safe Place, explores trauma and resilience through intimate, emotionally grounded storytelling. She is the founder of Out of Reality Entertainment and RGV Talent Consulting, where she mentors emerging talent and advocates for intentional filmmaking.

Her short film My Safe Place reflects her commitment to socially conscious storytelling, approaching difficult subject matter with care, restraint, and humanity. Garza is particularly drawn to stories that amplify unheard voices and examine the quiet, lasting impact of violence, loss, and survival rather than sensationalizing them.

In addition to directing, Garza has extensive experience working behind the scenes in casting, production management, and assistant directing across films, commercials, and digital projects. She is the founder of Out of Reality Entertainment and RGV Talent Consulting, where she actively supports independent filmmakers and emerging talent while advocating for thoughtful, ethical storytelling within the industry.
