All Submissions will be accepted for consideration as an "official selection" at Fiesta SATX Film Festival through FilmFreeway. The rules and regulations on Film Freeway are the official rules and regulations.

CALL FOR ENTRIES

•  Indie entries will be accepted beginning July 08, 2025 until the deadline of March 27, 2026 on FilmFreeway 

 

​ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

 

All entries must be submitted through the FilmFreeway link provided and must meet the following criteria.

• Non English language films must be subtitled in English

• Additional 30-50 minute script ready - a plus 

• No pornographic content  as defined by the US Supreme Court

• All submissions must be entered within the time frames specified. 

 

GENRE COMPETITION 

 

• All Genres will be judged under the discretion of the organizers. 

 

JUDGES

​

​Festival jurors will evaluate and score all submissions. Highest scoring films wil announced at the 2026 Awards Ceremony. 

 

• Judges may not contact the competitors for any reason. If a judge contacts you, you must report it to the festival officials immediately.  

 ​

​ATTENDING THE FESTIVAL

 

• ​A representative from films who are Official Selections are encouraged to attend. Attending will be at their own expense.  

 

WINNING ENTRIES

 

• ​The objective of the festival is to discover projects that may be adaptable to a streaming or television series.  We intend to work with the winning entries to create and /or find on-line and television distribution for a series. In the event the film is picked up for a serial production, the filmmaker must be open to allowing recasting and shooting a series in Texas.

Fiesta SATX Film Festival will award Grand Piñata Awards to the overall higest scoring films

THE PEOPLES CHOICE AWARDS

​

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards will be awarded for:

​

A. Peoples Choice 1st Place
B. Peoples Choice 2nd Place
C. Peoples Choice 3rd Place

​

SPECIFIC GENRE/CATEGORY AWARDS

Any genre/category which has three submissions or more will be judged for "Best In" the specific genre/category.

​

Should there be less than three entries in a category/genre, the entries will be judged for "Best In" under the Overall Category and there will be no award for the categories that have less three submissions. 

​

If the judges deem the genre selected by the submitter is incorrect, it will be moved to the correct genre at the discretion of the organizers.

​

A best film in "Genre" categories with be awarded ONLY where there ar three or more entries.

• By submitting filmmaker certifies that they have read and agree to abide by the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy,   Pilot Representative Agreement, and full rights to enter and make all decisions pertaining to the pilot submission.
